GENERAL REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Acceptance

All players are put on a waiting list until confirmation of payment and acceptance into the League. Payment does not constitute acceptance.

Again this season, the League will have seven youth divisions and it is expected several divisions will be filled very early.

• Mite - Born in 2004 through 2006
• Tyke - Born in 2002 and 2003
• Novice - Born in 2000 and 2001
• Atom - Born in 1998 and 1999
• Pee Wee - Born in 1996 and 1997
• Bantam - Born in 1994 and 1995
• Junior - Born in 1991 through 1993

Please Note: Team Equalization

Once teams have been selected some players may be traded in an attempt to equalize team strength. Team equalization will be done at the discretion of the division convenor and head coaches. Please see the Equalization section on our website.

Refunds

Refunds will be offered only if the request is received in writing. Please send your request to us by email.

Our refund policy is as follows:

* After Jan 25 and up to and including two weeks into season - refund minus non-refundable administration fee.

* After the second week of the season - no refund except in hardship cases (injuries, etc.) and refund will be prorated to games played and minus non-refundable administration fee

• As in prior years, the 2010 season will run from early April to the end of June

• Weather permitting, there will be 10 regular season games with playoffs following (more games and no playoffs for Mite)

• This season the League will have 7 youth divisions and it is expected several divisions will be filled very early. The League is co-ed and open to both boys and girls

• Non-contact in all divisions

• No slap shots in Mite, Tyke, Novice and Atom

• Hockey gloves, CSA approved helmets and non-plastic hockey sticks are mandatory on the rink at all times. Shin pads, elbow pads and jocks are recommended equipment

• Equipment for goalies is provided. Goalies do require their own helmet. Please note that the non-CSA approved street-hockey style goalie helmets are not permitted. CSA certified helmets are mandatory.

• All games are played at the Withrow Park Rink (off Carlaw, south of Danforth).

• Coaches will be selected in March. All players will be contacted by their head coaches prior to the start of the season.

• Playoffs will be scheduled as required

• Each player will receive a team sweater, a team and an individual photograph and a memento of the season.

For players who are so inclined, we offer an all-star program, involving try-outs and additional practices, with the all-star teams playing in tournaments (as available), exhibition games and the provincial minor ball hockey championships in July. Extra fees may be applicable.

Scheduling

All games are operated out of Withrow Park Rink, located in the centre of Withrow Park. The league is in operation from early April straight through to the end of June. Every team plays two games per week. As the end of the season nears it may be necessary to play additional games. All teams play at different times/dates every week. There are no specific teams in the divisions that only play certain days/times. The following times are tentative and subject to change.

• Mite Division:  Saturdays and Sundays (2 games per weekend) at either 8:15am or 9:00am. Two games are played on the rink at once. Games are played across the width of the rink
• Tyke Division:   Saturdays and Sundays between 10:00am and 2:00pm.
• Novice Division:  Saturdays and Sundays between 2:00pm and 6:00pm.
• Atom Division:  Saturdays between 6:00pm and 9:00pm.  Mondays and Fridays at 6:00pm.  Other times TBD.
• Pee Wee Division:  Saturdays at 9:00pm.   Mondays between 7:00pm and 9:00pm.  Wednesdays at 6:00pm.  Thursdays at 6:00pm.
• Fridays between 7:00pm and 10:00pm.
• Bantam Division:  Tuesdays between 6:00pm and 8:00pm.  Thursdays between 7:00pm and 9:00pm.
• Junior Division:  Tuesdays and Thursdays, times to be confirmed based on registration.

We do our best but cannot accept and accommodate everybody.
