Call for Youth Volunteers!

WPBHL is looking for high school age returning players to volunteer with our First Shots Initiative and with our All Abilities Division.

 

First Shots Volunteer Info:

  • To be one of six welcoming ambassadors for our new and returning First Shots players.

  • Participate in a short training session on Wednesday, March 23 from 6 – 7pm

  • Help with Equipment Distribution Day on the weekend of March 25/26 (specific time TBC)

  • Lead or participate in a Food Drive for Eastview Community Centre (Saturday, June 3)

  • Earn approximately 5-10 community service hours, depending on specific involvement

 

All Abilities Volunteer Info:

  • Participate in a volunteer training session prior to the season starting (1 hour TBC)

  • To be one of six assistants on the rink during the All Abilities Division game sessions (Thursdays during the spring ball hockey season, 7-9 pm, at Riverdale Rink)

  • Be open to working with youth and adults with different abilities on developing their ball hockey skills

  • Earn approximately 15-20 community service hours, depending on specific involvement

 

Applicants interested in either volunteer position are asked to complete this APPLICATION by Wednesday, March 1, 12 noon. We will get back to all applicants by Wednesday, March 8.
