Registration

Returning player registration for all youth divisions opens Saturday, January 10th at 8am.

  • Returning players have two paths to registration:
    1. Visit the WPBHL website and click on the Register drop down menu. You will be directed to the WPBHL registration page on TeamSnap, and follow the instructions. You will need a valid VISA, MasterCard or debit card (Interac) to register. We do not accept cheques.
    2. Go directly to TeamSnap using this link: Returning youth player registration
All registered players from 2025 should have an existing TeamSnap account and will be directed to the sign-up page. If you use this link to register and you are not a returning player from the 2025 season, your registration will be immediately cancelled and your fee will be returned, minus the $10 administration fee.

  • Returning players in all divisions EXCEPT Co-ed U10, Co-ed U14, Co-ed U16 and Co-ed U19 are guaranteed team placement if they are registered prior to January 24th. Registration for returning players in Co-ed U10, U14, U16 and U19 is on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • It is expected several divisions will be filled quickly. Returning players in all divisions except Co-ed U10, U14, U16 and U19 are guaranteed team placement if they are registered prior to January 24th, 12:01 am.

New player registration will open on Saturday, January 24 at 8am.

  • A link will be posted on the WPBHL website.

Registration for returning Women’s players will open late January/early February. Returning Men’s registration will open early in February. Registration for new Women’s players will open early February and for new Men’s players, later in February.

*NOTE: Any new players who register in the returning player window will be removed from the registration list and charged a $10 administration fee. If you are unsure of your returning player status, please contact withrowballhockey@gmail.com for confirmation.

Please note: All new players are put on a waiting list until confirmation of payment and acceptance into the League. Payment does not constitute acceptance. Once a division fills up, a limited waiting list will be put into place. To have a confirmed position on the waiting list the participant must be registered using our online registration system (no registration fee is charged for placement on the waiting list).

Refunds will be offered only if the request is received in writing after registration and up to and including two weeks into the season, minus a $10 administration fee. Please send your request to us by email. After the second week of the season, there will be no refunds except in hardship cases (injuries, etc.) and refunds will be prorated to games played and minus the administration fee.

Equipment

The following equipment is mandatory:

  • CSA approved hockey helmet with cage
  • Hockey gloves
  • Hockey stick (push-on plastic blades are not permitted)
  • Shin guards (soccer style or ball hockey style)
  • Running shoes
  • Soft elbow pads, soft knee pads, and athletic support (jock or jill) are recommended.

Teammate Requests and Equalization
A teammate request will only be considered in the U6 division. A limit of one friend request per player will be considered for these divisions only and must be reciprocated. All teammate requests received by WPBHL for players from other divisions will neither be acted on nor responded to. Siblings are placed together in all divisions. Siblings who do not wish to play together should contact withrowballhockey@gmail.com to request to play separately.

Teams will be made by division conveners once registration is complete. Coaches will be selected in March and players will be contacted by their coaches prior to the start of the season. Each player will receive a team uniform.

Some players may be traded midway through the season to equalize team strength. Team equalization will be done at the discretion of the division convenor and coaches.

Sponsorship

Interested in sponsoring a team this season? Please reach out to Cara at sponsorship.withrowballhockey@gmail.com to secure your spot or learn more. The sponsorship fee is $450. All sponsors receive their logo on team shirts, along with placement on our website, eNews, and social posts.

All-Star Program
WPBHL has a long and proud tradition of competing at a high level. In 2025 we had multiple provincial and national championship teams. The All-Star program is for players who are interested in a more competitive environment. These teams involve try-outs and additional practices, with the all-star teams playing in tournaments (as available), exhibition games and the provincial minor ball hockey championships in July. Extra fees are applicable for the all-star program. Details will follow.
