Former WPBHL Player Helps Canada Win Gold at U18 Hockey Worlds
Hey ball hockey peeps,
We’re so excited to give a shout-out about one of our former ball hockey players.
Our very own Wyatt Johnston and Team Canada beat Russia last night to capture gold at the U18 World Championship, held in Texas.
Wyatt played a few seasons in the WPBHL, and was on the WPBHL U15 silver-medal team at the 2018 Canadian Junior Nationals in Fredericton, N.B.
He also represented the WPBHL at the 2019 ball hockey Junior Worlds in Czech Republic, playing for Canada East U16, which won silver.
Wyatt currently plays for the Windsor Spitfires and according the Spitfires’ own website is “an offensively gifted forward who is noted for his excellent hockey sense and even better playmaking abilities.”
He is expected to be an early-round draft pick in the upcoming NHL draft.
Congrats Wyatt!
